Progress Report 3-11-19: Pacing and More Progress

Hey guys, it’s time for another Progress Report!

OgreWare has been working on that Introduction for you, so that you can know the story of Calling All Heroes quite a bit better. It’s all going to be done with illustrations from yours truly, so if you like the style of our game, you’ll probably enjoy them.

However, for OgreWare, this weekend was mostly spent helping a friend who’s going through a really awful time, and I respect that. So I’ll ask your patience and support as OgreWare supports those around them, and trust that we’ll have the Introduction out as soon as possible.

OgreWare is also not entirely satisfied with some of the pacing in the introduction, so from what I hear, it’s being reworked a tiny bit so that there’ll be a better rhythm. Personally, as a storyteller of sorts, a creator of novels and sequential art (comics), I know very well that pacing and rhythm are essential to get your point across in these sorts of projects.

So, long story short, the Introduction is actually getting very close to ready – it shouldn’t be too long now. I’m really excited for you all to see the intro, as it features some never-before-seen art by me, and tells the story that is so familiar to both me and OgreWare, but which we realize some of you have never heard.

“Who are we? Where did we get the Recruitment Sign in the first place? And why are we recruiting monsters?” Inquiring minds want to know. And you will, very soon.

Stay tuned.
