Progress Report 10-25-18 | Persistence in Game Design

I am happy to report that OgreWare has been working persistently throughout this past week. If only their save files on Calling All Heroes were as persistent!

An intermittent, save-game-breaking bug has been found where occasionally, when you load up the save file, it basically all comes up super broken – not fun overpowered broken, but just BROKEN broken. This has had varying effects, from a field of Imps where map tiles should have been (pictured below), to a situation where the available Missions disappeared for an hour at a time.

If you’ve experienced this bug, never fear – OgreWare is on it. On it like a bug on a save file. They are working around the clock to fix this, and we will have a new version out as soon as possible.

There is one way you can help, though: If you can, let us know what system/platform you were playing on. It’s a bit difficult to reproduce this issue for testing purposes, as it doesn’t happen every time. So any details you can offer us about it would be so helpful!

I do believe the key to solving any problem, defeating any boss, and creating any great art piece is consistent persistence. And while the Calling All Heroes save systems aren’t consistently persistent, I can assure you that OgreWare and I will be!
