Progress Report January 3, 2019: New Year, New Update

Hey guys! So, OgreWare didn’t have an update on Monday due to it being New Year’s Eve and all, but we are back, here, on the 3rd, with your regularly scheduled Progress Report blog.

First of all, there are a few new Troops who have been added to the potential roster: the Sea Serpent, Killer Plant, and Minotaur are now recruitable in Calling All Heroes. There are more on the way, too, but for now those three are the main change. Out of those three, the Killer Plant has to be my favorite. (Read the blog about him here.)

From where I am, it seems we’re looking at one more big update before the final testing and tuning phase begins. There may be more small changes – adding a few Troops and possibly a couple more features – but for the most part, we have one more big update, and then it’ll be in the final phases. 


We are getting closer and closer to the updates that will mean it’s ready for the Play Store, and as we near that particular milestone, I look back on the past months of working on Calling All Heroes and am grateful I got to experience this process first-hand. I’ve learned a lot about game design, and while I can’t tell you exactly where I work, I now have a day job in a sort of neighboring industry. I doubt I could have managed that without the experience that this project has given me, so I’m very grateful for OgreWare taking me on as Blog Admin and letting me illustrate so much of the game.
