Progress Report 3-25-19: Cats Always Land On Their…Game Developers?

Hey guys! It’s Taylor, and I am now a Kitten Rescuer.

…Oh, and OgreWare and I went to LA. But that travel highlight was quickly eclipsed by Birdie, a calico kitten who showed up in my life heralded by screaming birds.

I was jet-lagged as hell Sunday afternoon, and walking around on foot in my town, when I heard a bunch of blue-jays and a crow SCREECHING at the top of their little lungs in a nearby tree. I snapped at them “JEEZ you guys are loud!!” – and that was when I spotted Birdie.

(A note: Birdie is a very tiny creature. She’s 8 weeks old, approximately, and less than 2lbs. She is very, very small.)

She was, thus, very reasonably frightened by these large birds, and was clinging to the tree, unable to climb down or get away from the birds. I sprang into action, despite my jet lag, and ran over and let Birdie climb down into my arms. She snuggled right up against me, and that was it – I was gone, lost, taken, in love with this little creature.

Long story short, I’m not allowed pets at my apartment at the moment, and so Birdie (so named due to the circumstances of her rescue, and my sick sense of humor), is staying with OgreWare and gnawing on his toes.

Between Birdie, travel, jet-lag, and other issues, we really haven’t had time to work on much in terms of OgreWare or Calling All Heroes stuff.

But I really can’t blame Birdie. She’s too darn cute.
