Welcome back to the Troop Spotlight series, where we take a look, one by one, at the various Troops you’ll be able to unlock in Calling All Heroes by OgreWare! This week’s star is the Skeleton.
The Skeleton is actually the Troop for which I most had to “stretch” my artistic style. He’s a bit more American-comic-strip-cartoony than the other troops, most of which were inspired more by anime and comic book styles. But the Skeleton was intentionally designed to be reminiscent of the Saturday morning cartoons I grew up with.
The Skeleton is just about as stupid and nearly as violent as those cartoons. He’s got a bone to pick with someone, and I don’t fancy being them when he gets riled up!
OgreWare provided the following variations on the Skeleton for this article, and I have to say, I was pretty sad to see that the blue variation was labeled “Drowned.”
The poor guy! What a way to go! But…how does he drown in the first place if he doesn’t have lungs? Ah well. He’s stupid and violent, not logical.
Again, like those Saturday morning cartoons.
If you’re interested in seeing later posts in this series or other updates and blogs about what OgreWare’s up to, feel free to subscribe! We’ve been posting about twice a week recently and intend to keep that up for now, so stay tuned!
